Your 6-day Morocco adventure begins in Casablanca with a private departure toward Fes. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to visit some of Casablanca highlights before leaving the city. Continue toward Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you can enjoy a short panoramic visit to the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the historic surroundings of the royal city. After the visit, continue toward Fes through the changing landscapes of northern Morocco. Arrive in Fes in the afternoon or evening and check in at your accommodation. You will have free time to relax or take a first walk around the surroundings of the Medina. Spend your first night in Fes and prepare for the cultural discovery planned for the following day.
Day 2: Guided Tour of Fes
Today is dedicated to discovering Fes, one of Morocco’s most fascinating imperial cities. After breakfast, meet your local guide for a private guided tour of the historic Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the narrow streets and explore traditional souks, artisan workshops, historic madrasas, and impressive architectural monuments. Visit important landmarks such as the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine area, and the famous leather tanneries. Your guide will introduce you to the history, traditions, and cultural heritage of the city. You can also discover the Mellah and enjoy panoramic views over the old city. After the guided visit, return to your accommodation and enjoy a free evening in Fes. Spend your second night in Fes, giving you enough time to appreciate the atmosphere of this historic Moroccan city before beginning the journey toward the Sahara.
Day 3: Fes to Midelt via the Middle Atlas
After breakfast, leave Fes and travel toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. The road passes through Ifrane, a charming mountain town surrounded by forests, before continuing toward Azrou and its famous cedar forests. Enjoy scenic stops along the way and discover the changing landscapes of the Atlas region. Continue toward Midelt, known for its mountain scenery, apple orchards, and traditional rural communities. After lunch, explore the surrounding landscapes or simply relax at your accommodation. From Erfoud, travel toward Merzouga and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon, begin your camel trek across the dunes. Ride through the desert while watching the colors of the sand change as the sun moves toward the horizon. Arrive at your desert camp before sunset, enjoy a traditional dinner, and experience an evening of Saharan hospitality. Spend your first night in the Merzouga desert camp beneath the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert Experience
Wake early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, continue exploring the Merzouga region and discover the landscapes and communities surrounding the Sahara. Depending on your interests, visit a nearby nomadic area, explore local villages, or discover the traditional music and culture of the region. You can also visit the seasonal lake of Merzouga when water conditions allow. Return toward the dunes and enjoy some free time to relax at the camp or explore the surrounding desert.
