Overview
This 4-day tour takes you from the historic city of Fes to the lively atmosphere of Marrakech, crossing some of Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes. You will travel through cedar forests, mountain passes, palm groves, deep gorges, and the stunning dunes of Merzouga. The tour includes a camel ride, a night in a desert camp, traditional villages, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Fes. The journey begins through the Middle Atlas, with a stop in Ifrane, known for its Alpine-style architecture. You will continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaque monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, the road leads through the Ziz Valley with panoramic views of palm groves and kasbahs. Upon arriving in Merzouga, you will ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight will be in a desert camp.

Day 2: Full Desert Experience in Merzouga

After sunrise and breakfast, you will spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. The tour includes a visit to Khamlia village to enjoy traditional Gnawa music, a drive through the black desert formed by volcanic rocks, and a visit to nomad families living in hand-woven tents. You will also stop at desert panoramic viewpoints and, if possible, the old mines of Mifiss. Lunch will be in a local house or restaurant. The afternoon is free to relax. Dinner and overnight will be in a hotel or camp, depending on your choice.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, the journey continues to Rissani, known for its traditional market. You will then drive toward Tinghir and walk inside the Todgha Gorge, a dramatic canyon with high limestone cliffs. The road continues through the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and kasbahs. Dinner and overnight will be in a hotel located in the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, you will drive through Rose Valley and the palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate. Here you may stop to see the film studios or Kasbah Taourirt. The journey continues to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most important historic landmarks. After visiting the site, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech will be in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your accommodation.
