Drive toward Tinghir and enjoy a stop in the palm-filled oasis before reaching the dramatic cliffs of the gorge. Continue toward Erfoud, a town famous for fossils, dates and its proximity to the Sahara. From Erfoud, continue through Rissani before arriving in Merzouga. In the afternoon, prepare for your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Ride through the desert while enjoying the changing colors of the sand and the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara. Reach your desert camp before sunset and watch the sun disappear behind the dunes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, local music and a relaxing night in the desert camp.
